Stoic Practice, a Twelve-Week Course

October 12, 2026

Stoic Practice is a twelve-week course by Ricardo Guaderrama. It follows the chapters of Ward Farnsworth's The Practicing Stoic, from judgment to virtue, one a week. Each week brings one idea, one of Ricardo's essays where he lived it, and one practice done in writing, a few minutes each evening. It is not open yet.

Here is what the practices sound like.

Week four. Death

Every choice is a transaction. You're either spending on comfort or investing in who you're becoming.

But you can't change what you don't see.

The only thing you get to keep is who you became along the way.

Week five. Desire

Most people spend their entire lives reaching for the left hand. This week, practice using the right hand.

Do this for 7 days. Write it down. See what you discover.

Week twelve. Learning

Facing something is its own reward. It is an act of freedom.
