What is Stoicism?

Imagine that you are a bowman.

You are about to shoot at the bullseye. Feel the wind blowing in your face, the earth beneath your feet, the sun in your face, your mental chatter, picture everything.

You begin to tense the bow, you aim for your target, take a long breath and release the arrow.

You missed it. There is too much wind.

Good to know there are plenty of arrows!

Take another shot, but this time, take the wind into account.

Your capacity to focus on what is under control is what will make you powerful and enjoy life in the best possible way.

This is the chore of stoic philosophy. Stoic philosophy, however, is extremely diverse and can answer so many questions about life’s most difficult questions.

Stoic answers aim is precisely this, to provide answers to the deepest human questions, which sadly, are almost always never asked.

We would like to be a place of solace, encouragement, and camaraderie in this incredible business called life.
