Attitude, equals gratitude.

This small phrase says so much in just three words that I found it just necessary to elaborate on the meaning of the short quote and try to understand it from a stoic perspective.

Gratitude could be described as a feeling of contentment and of a peaceful of well-being. Attitude is the way, usually positive, in which the person addresses reality.

They say as well that attitude is everything. I certainly believe so, attitude is your basic approach to life. Attitude is the how you choose to enjoy or suffer life. I’m sure you’ve had that feeling at least once in your life, the feeling of a mighty attitude.

A stoic is a buddhist, with an attitude.

Why would attitude equal gratitude? Gratitude is a conscious choice. One chooses to be content and appreciate what one has. From this standpoint one chooses to approach life in a better way, with a better attitude. Attitude springs from gratitude.

Because the future is meaningless and unimportant to the person who can bravely face and make the most of the present. The present moment is, as Marcus Aurelius would sayall you need. It’s enough.
