Wake up at 4:30 am and become invincible.

“Life is too short,” she panicked, “I want more.” He nodded slowly, “Wake up earlier.”
~Dr. SunWolf

Have you ever had one of those days you wake up at 10 or 11 am?  Didn’t you felt more tired than well rested? And not only in the morning but the entire day? We;ve all been there.

This is because more sleep is not necessarily more energy, on the contrary if you sleep a lot you enter into a state of lethargy so well-known after these lazy days.

If you want energy and motivation the whole day trough, the simplest most beneficial way to do it is to wake up at 430 am. This is will make you invincible, trust me.

Normally when we wake up with just 5 min to go to work, we cannot honestly say that we are fully woken, we become more like zombies until we get to some coffee.

When you wake up at 4 30 am you gain time to set yourself in action mode first and begin the day with energy, attack the  most important and essential stuff in your life and make that day a great day, every day of your life, should be a great day.

You can start having this great days by doing one simple thing which is waking up at 4 30 am.

While the rest of the world is sleeping.  you are awake, doing what you love, if you like to sing well then go and sing, if you like to write you can go writing, anything that you want to do, no matter if you are bad at it, you can do it in the morning when you have time because everyone else is asleep and become better and better at it. This is how you begin influencing your life in the direction that you want it to take, and if you think about it for a moment, it all sprang from a single choice, waking up a 4 30 am.

Some of the persons that wake up early include, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, who wakes up at 3:45 every morning (yes, 3:45) to “beat those lazy East Coasters, he does email for an hour and then hits the gym , then goes for Starbucks and then goes for more work.

Another character is Sir Richard Branson who rises at 5:45 am always getting up with the sun, even when he is in his private island he leaves the curtains open so he can get up with the sun. First He exercises, then a healthy breakfast and off to work.

But the real inspiration for this post and waking up at 4 30 am  comes from navy seal Jocko Willink, who served as a commander on the most condecorated unit in the Iraq war, Team three, Task Unit Bruiser. as a result of his terrible experiences he coined the term “extreme ownership” which resulted form a massacre he experienced during hit time in Iraq in which he had to endure the killing of members of his team by friendly fire, a terrible experience in which he was the commander officer, he could have said that it was someone else’s fault but what he did is that he admitted and took responsibility for all that happened, and that is what he called extreme owner ship, if you think about it, when you blame someone else for something, be it life, be it a person, be it a circumstance. you become powerless, you become a victim of any thing that you are blaming. responsiblity is scary, but it is also very powerful, if you admit responsiblity for anything in your life, just as famous psychologist william james did, you gain massive power in your life, great responsibility = great power. This is how you get to know your purpose.

Now, do it.

How can you attain this great power, simply.

Here are some simple steps to start.

  1. Set your alarm at 4:30 am, when you are ready for sleep, place your phone away from the bed, this will force you to physically get up and turn off the alarm which will make it easier to remain up once you’re standing, trust me if you place it near you, you won’t do it.
  2. Drink two glasses of water as soon as you wake up. During the night you dehydrate and that makes you feel sleepy. Drink water.
  3. Go for a run, or a light exercise in you room.
  4. Read a non-fiction book for 15 minutes.
  5. You need to fill your early morning with activities, so take a notebook out and decide what is it that’s most important to you to get done, not to others, not for your boss, for you. then do that for an hour.
  6. Have a healthy breakfast.
  7. Now you are more than ready for the day, you’ve become invincible, see how you feel yourself after doing this.
